If you have ever thought about adopting a child but aren’t sure about the process, then you want to attend the 13th annual Heart Gallery of the Rio GrandeValley.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Children’s Museum of Brownsville at Dean Porter Park. It is a free event and open to the public.

Portraits of the children and sibling groups up for adoption will be displayed at the museum with bios written by each child, said Mary Curtis, past president of the Rotary Club of Historic Brownsville.

“Even if you haven’t thought about adopting or growing your family that way, come and just be aware of what is going on in your community and the kids and their needs,” Curtis said.
