The San Benito CISD Board of Trustees recently recognized the top three summer myOn digital book readers for staying ahead of the learning curve. The honorees were, from left, Leila Bulnes of Ed Downs Elementary; Victoria Villalpando of Rangerville Elementary; and Nathaniel Torres of Dr. Raul Garza, Jr. Elementary.
Participants were able to access more than 6,000 digital books, thanks to a partnership with myON Reader, an online digital library from Capstone books. Together, students and community members surpassed the 5,000-book goal this summer. Collectively, the top honorees read nearly 400 books – Leila read 159 books, Victoria read 131 books, and Nathaniel read 105 books!
