The San Benito High School Belles, the pride of San Benito, attended an American Dance/Drill Team (ADTS) 4-day private camp at San Benito Veterans Memorial Academy with ADTS Dance Instructor Sarah Zepeda.
Under the leadership of head sponsor Isabel De La Cruz, the award-winning drill team received numerous awards at the conclusion of the intensive and fast-paced summer camp. Honors included the following: “All American” – Alexandria Andrade, Tamar Garza, Julianna Leal, Viola Rodriguez, Kathline Gonzales, Daniela Niño, Samantha Aguilera, Kayla Medellin, Elizabeth Rosenbaum, Keyla Ochoa; “All American Honorable Mention” – Gabby Ybarra, Aisa Servantes, Deidre Ruiz, Angelica Rivas, Aylin Esparza, Andrea Rodriguez, Chloey Rodriguez, Josie Barrett, Naydelin Medina, Joselyn Clemente, Adrienne Gonzalez; “All American Kick Company” – Desiree Rodriguez, Heaven Salinas, Elizabeth Rosenbaum, Andrea Rodriguez, Andrea Rodriguez, Tamar Garza, Alexandria Andrade, Chloey Rodriguez; “Miss High Kick” – Andrea Rodriguez; “Spirit of ADTS” – Britany Rodriguez, Myra Reyna, Melanie Barajas, Aylin Esparza; “Gussie Nell Davis Award” – Deidre Ruiz, Joselyn Clemente, Heaven Salinas, Sarah Villarreal; “Pizazz Award” – Keyla Ochoa, Alexandria Andrade, Desiree Rodriguez; “Dance Company Award” – Alexandria Andrade, Daniela Niño; and “Outstanding Performer” – Alexandria Andrade.
The 21 All Americans have all been invited to march in the upcoming Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
