Police search for Harlingen burglary suspect

HARLINGEN — Police have identified a man they say broke into a local pharmacy.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Edward Eliseo Rodriguez, 23.

At approximately 2 a.m., April 20, officers responded to the Small Fry’s Pharmacy on 21st Street regarding an activated alarm.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a window near the front entrance had been shattered and entry had been made.

Police said video surveillance footage shows Rodriguez shoot out the window with a BB gun, enter the business and rummage through the counter area.

He then left the area on foot, southbound toward East Tyler Avenue, police said.

Rodriguez is described as a heavy set man with tattoos on his arms and left leg and a birth mark, tattoo or large mole on the left side of his face.

He has dark hair, a beard and was wearing a red shirt with a Virgin Mary image on it, shorts and sandals.

Police said Rodriguez was carrying a BB gun and a backpack.

Anyone with information on Rodriguez’s whereabouts is asked to notify the Harlingen Police Department at (956) 216-5401 or the Harlingen Area Crime Stoppers at (956) 425-TIPS (8477).

If the tip leads to the location of this man, callers could be eligible for a reward.
