RIO HONDO – School administrators and the community gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Rio Hondo ISD middle school project projected to be completed in 2018.
Superintendent Ismael Garcia said the new facility will be state-of-the-art with brand new furniture and electronics to boost 21st Century Learning in the district.
The construction of the school is estimated at $18 million will have enough room for 650 students in the 90,000 square foot facility.
