Ales & Tails: Harlingen’s first craft beer, crawfish social

HARLINGEN — About 500 people enjoyed craft beers and crawfish yesterday at the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce’s first Ales & Tails Fest

“This is a way to give back to our community. As a nonprofit, we like to give back,” Chamber Vice President Vanessa Camacho said.

“This is the first of its kind for Cameron County. This is the first of many and we hope to make it bigger and better every year.”

The guests in the courtyard at the Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum also enjoyed exhibitor booths, raffle prizes and music by Mr. Whiskey, a Brownsville quartet with players on acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin and upright bass.

Ales & Tails Fest is one of the Chamber’s newest premier events. This year, partial proceeds will benefit the Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum.

Sponsors include Harlingen Medical Center, Dirty Al’s Seafood Market & Cajun Kitchen, WycoTax, LLC, L&F Distributors, LLC, Watermill Express, CM Graphics & Jamar Printing, Valley Business Report, the City of Harlingen, the Harlingen Convention & Visitors Bureau and Hino Gas Sales, Inc.

The Chamber recognizes the importance of donating to local charities and encourages its members to participate in a great event that is for a good cause.
