Laguna Vista taking part in warrant round-up

LAGUNA VISTA — Laguna Vista is taking part in the upcoming 2017 Great Texas Warrant Round-Up.

The town Vista is among 300 jurisdictions across the state engaging in the law enforcement campaign that began the first week in February.

The municipal court has hundreds of active warrants it is seeking to clear. Court officials are encouraging defendants to take advantage of the options being available to settle outstanding warrants immediately. No amnesty is being offered in conjunction with this state-wide warrant round up.

The arrest period has already begun and Laguna Vista police officers will aggressively target persons on the warrant list and arrests can take place at any location, including the defendant’s home, school or workplace.

The total amount in delinquent accounts is $1,406,245, and the total amount of warrants is 4,319.
