BROWNSVILLE – The annual UTRGV Expo is an effort to reach out to Mexican students and families with information about the university’s undergraduate and graduate programs and the English Language Institute.
This year’s Expo, designed to promote UTRGV beyond the border, will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at the TSC Arts Center in Brownsville. There is no registration fee.
“We are hosting the UTRGV Expo to recruit talented international students who are interested in obtaining a world-class education,” said Samantha Lopez, UTRGV director of international admissions and services. “We currently have more than 950 international students from 65 different countries enrolled at UTRGV.”
During the Expo event, all information will be provided in both English and Spanish, including the presentations.
Participating departments include:
· Undergraduate Admissions.
· Graduate College.
· Office of Global Engagement.
· Language Institute.
· Financial Aid.
· Testing Center.
· Housing and Residential Life.
· Student Involvement.
· University Recreation.
· Career Center.
Faculty representatives from each college will be on hand to answer questions.
