Rep. Longoria starts third term in Texas House

AUSTIN — Texas Secretary of State Rolando B. Pablos swore in Rep. Oscar Longoria, D-Mission, into his third term in the Texas House of Representatives during the opening of the 85th legislative session.

Longoria was surrounded by his wife Jennifer Ruiz Longoria, their daughters Camilla and Madison, family, friends, and constituents from throughout the district, which runs from La Feria to Mission.

The ceremony wasn’t only a house warming party for representatives and their families. More than 1,000 bills were filed, and Longoria filed eight bills on his first day back at the Capitol.
