HARLINGEN — The young man who police say struck and killed another man with his car Tuesday night has been identified and arraigned.
Joaquin Cordero, 24, of Harlingen is charged with a second degree felony of accident involving death in connection to the hit and run death of Harlingen resident Jeffrey Wall, 52.
His bond was set at $100,000.
Police say Cordero struck Wall in the 900 block of W. Tyler Ave. around 9:30 Tuesday night. They found Wall dead on the street and Cordero had left the scene.
Cordero surrendered Wednesday afternoon.
