HARLINGEN — Texas Secretary of State Carlos Cascos visited the TSTC campus today to encourage students to vote, and to provide information on acceptable forms of voter identification.
“It was a great crowd and several people have come up to me and tell me they are going to go vote,” Cascos said. “They weren’t planning to, so my message resonated or inspired them to go vote.”
He says the main focus of Vote Texas is going out and attempting to educate voters about the requirements, describing the list of valid photo IDs that can be presented, as well as the procedure to vote for people without a valid photo ID.
