Prayers for Nahomi

SAN BENITO — Family and friends want Nahomi Rodriguez to know they haven’t given up hope.

Yesterday, they gathered to pray for her safe return.

“We are getting together here today to show my daughter our support,” said her father, Ramiro Rodriguez.

“We are not giving up on the search. This vigil is to get together to pray for my daughter.”

The 19-year-old San Benito resident has been missing since July 17.

About 150 of her friends, family and community members held a prayer vigil for her at the Heavin Park Amphitheater yesterday evening.

The vigil included a balloon release.

Daniel and Alejandra Quiroz, friends of the family, said they attended to show support for the family. But they also want to remind the community the search goes on.
