SAN BENITO — The city of San Benito is honoring all Vietnam-era veterans with a special ceremony.
The event will be held Oct. 24 at Veterans Memorial Academy, 2115 N. Oscar Williams Road in San Benito.
The city and LULAC, along with other military support groups, invite all Vietnam-era veterans from throughout South Texas to join them in the ceremony.
The event will provide a formal “thank you and welcome home” tribute to this special group for their service in the U.S. military.
The event is being held in accordance with the 50th Anniversary Commemoration.
Events begin at 6 p.m. for a social hour followed by a tribute ceremony at 7 p.m. and refreshments at 8 p.m.
