Two train cars derailed on C Street and Adams Street blocking traffic for hours today. Several roads were blocked due to the derailment, including:
– Adams Street
– 1st Street
– 3rd Street
– 7th Street
– 13th Street
– 77 Sunshine Strip
The Harlingen Police Department says the Adam Street intersection is now open. Crews are working to remove barricades and debris from the other areas before all the road are open to traffic.
The police department and Texas Railroad Commission will continue to investigate.
