HARLINGEN — Thousands of area graduates recently celebrated the completion of their high school careers and look forward to what they will make of their lives.
The students featured here received a scholarship last month at the Harlingen Country Club, in the amount of $500 from the 100 Catholic Men’s and Women’s Club of Harlingen.
The criteria for this scholarship is C.C.D. attendance as well as community involvement, both in the parish, school and any other type where the student volunteers his/her time.
From St. Anthony’s Parish, Mia Aguirre and Cesar Chavez; from Queen of Peace Parish, Anthony Garcia and Karla Servantes; from Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Cesar Emmanuel Montes; and from Our Lady Of Assumption, Leonel Solis Jr., Socorro Celest Salazar and Nicolas Garza.
