Marla M. Guerra has been named the Region One ESC regional superintendent of the tear.
Guerra is the superintendent for South Texas ISD and has led the district for 15 years. STISD is made up of four magnet high schools and two junior high/middle schools.
Under the direction of the Texas Association of School Boards, the superintendent of the year program recognizes superintendents for excellence and achievement in educational leadership.
