SAN BENITO — After circling the globe with her parents, San Benito wrestler Christy Satterfield made the decision of a lifetime as she signed a letter of intent on Tuesday to wrestle for BaconeCollege in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
The senior, who transferred to San Benito as a sophomore, racked up an impressive 93 victories and 22 defeats in her three years on the varsity wrestling squad.
“It’s a big day for me because it’s a goal I set for myself since freshman year,” said Satterfield. “I’m excited because I’m the first person from the San Benito (wrestling team) to sign and it’s good for us, and the girls that have always looked up to me can now know they can do it, too, not just me.”
