Sharyland High Karissa Flores signed her national letter of intent recently to continue her athletic and educational career, playing soccer at Texas A&M San Antonio.

An attacking midfieler/outside midfielder and forward for the Rattlers, Flores tore her ACL as a sophomore, underwent surgery and took 11 months of therapy but still returned and made an impact for the Rattlers.

An 31-5A all-district player a year ago and co-captain for the second straight year, Flores has been a part of the Rattlers’ starting lineup since being a freshman. She also has worked out with the South Texas Olympic Development Program.
