EDINBURG — Property taxes are due next week.
Hidalgo County residents have until Wednesday to pay their dues before added interest and penalties are applied.
Taxpayers can pay online at www.hidalgocountytax.org, by mail to Hidalgo County Tax Office, P.O. Box 178, Edinburg, Texas 78540, or physically at eight locations throughout the county.
The main office in Edinburg and substations in Weslaco, San Juan, Mission, McAllen, Pharr, Alamo and Elsa are also taking payments.
All offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays — except the offices in Edinburg and McAllen, which will have extended hours on the deadline day, Jan. 31.
Those offices will remain open until 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Taxpayers may also pay with cash or check at all Lone Star National Bank locations within Hidalgo County, but only until Jan. 31. Payees must have their current tax statement when paying at the bank.
