The WWE will be making a rare two-day stop in the Rio Grande Valley on Jan. 13

and 14 at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo.

The last time WWE was here in the Valley was July 9,

and it headlined by a U.S. championship match between AJ Styles, Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens. But the last time there was a two-day stop was way back on Sept. 21 and 22, 2013, and featured Daniel Bryan facing Randy Orton on back-to-back nights.

For the show at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13, the main event will feature WWE Champion AJ Styles taking on Jinder Mahal in a steel cage match. Then the next night at 5 p.m. Jan. 14, Styles will step into the main event once again, taking on Mahal, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in a fatal fourway match for the WWE Championship. Styles won the title on a rare title switch on television when he beat Mahal on a taping of WWE Smackdown Live on Nov. 9 in England. On PPVs, he has since faced Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series and Mahal at Extreme Rules, and both were excellent matches.

Other wrestlers scheduled to appear for both events include The New Day, The Usos, Shinsuke Nakamura, Charlotte Flair, Sami Zayn, Becky Lynch, Baron Corbin, Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler, Natalya, and several others that have yet to be announced.
