After the havoc caused by the weekend’s storm, the Palm Valley Animal Society is asking the community for help in providing funds to repair its Trenton shelter.

The shelter, like many homes and businesses, suffered extended power outages and damage to their facility.

According to a news release, the 80 mph winds caused several windows in the facility to shatter, broke dog kennels and caused other damage to the buildings that makes it difficult to provide shelter for the 1,200 pets in their care.

The shelter anticipates the repairs to cost up to $30,000. For those who wish to donate to their repair fund visit secure.qgiv.com.

Not only does the shelter need donations but they are also looking for volunteer assistance to help clear debris in the property. For those who wish to volunteer email [email protected].
