Texas Southmost College will hold a career fair from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday on the second floor of the Oliviera Student Services Center.

Representatives from numerous companies and agencies, both public and private, will be on site to talk about job opportunities, including TIPOTEX Chevrolet, Southwest Key, Brownsville and McAllen Police Departments, U.S. Border Patrol, branches of the U.S. Military, South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, IDEA Camp Rio, Keppel AmFels and many more.

“It’s a good chance for students to look for and get information and employment from employers right here in our community,” Natacha Guerra, Student Services specialist said. “We’re bringing the opportunity right to our students, and they can network with them and talk with them.”

More than 40 employers confirmed attendance, subject to change.

The event is open to students as well as the general public.
