The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash in Alamo Sunday morning that killed a man.

In a news release, DPS said the crash happened at approximately 9 a.m. on Tower Road north of Sioux Road in Alamo.

The preliminary investigation reveals a man was found dead in a drainage ditch west of Tower Road, according to a news release.

“Next to the male pedestrian was a shopping cart from a local store,” the release stated.
