Overnight road closures to begin today in Pharr interchange project

PHARR — Full road closures in Pharr will take place as crews work on the deck portion of the new direct connectors.

The I-2 main lanes in Pharr will be closed in both directions nightly beginning at 8 p.m. today.

The closures will run through April 15, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The I-2 eastbound main lanes will be fully closed between the Sugar Road exit ramp and Vic’s Drive. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to exit Sugar Road and use the next available entrance ramp to re-enter the main lanes.

The I-2 westbound main lanes will be fully closed between the Cage Boulevard exit ramp and Sugar Road. Westbound traffic will be detoured to exit Cage Boulevard and use the next available entrance ramp to re-enter the main lanes.

The I-69C southbound frontage road will be closed between SH495 and I-2 from 8 p.m. to 6 am. today through April 10.
