A La Porte resident scored the winning prize in a Texas Lottery scratch ticket game, the $1 million Crossword, after buying the ticket from a Pharr convenience store.
The winner of the lottery ticket elected to remain anonymous.
The ticket was purchased at the Stripes convenience store located at 100 W. Nolana Loop in Pharr.
This was one of eight top prizes with a total of $289.2 million in prize money for this game.
