Police are investigating the shooting death of a 17-year-old man near the parking lot of the Elsa Housing Authority.
The Elsa Police Department said in a news release that officers were called to the 300 block of W. 3rd Street in reference to shots fired at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found the teenager dead at the scene. Police did not provide any other details about the death.
“This is an active investigation and we encourage anyone with additional information to come forward,” the release stated. “We urge you to contact the Elsa Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit at 956-262-4721.”
