An Edinburg woman is currently behind bars following a car crash that left a man dead.
McAllen police arrested Angela Mia Villarreal, 28, after she rear-ended another vehicle in the 9700 block of North 10th Street in McAllen at about 11:52 p.m. Thursday.
Augustin Molina Uribe, 62, was behind the wheel of the other vehicle and died as a result of the collision. Uribe’s last known address was also in Edinburg.
Police arrested Villarreal at the scene because she was allegedly driving under the influence at the time of the crash. Police secured a blood specimen, which is pending analysis.
Villarreal is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter, a second-degree felony, and was still pending arraignment as of noon Friday.
