Hidalgo County reported no new COVID-19 related deaths and an additional 176 cases of the virus on Monday morning.
The new cases raise the county’s total to 43,020 as the death toll remains at 2,050.
There are currently 204 people in county hospitals with the virus, of which 76 are in intensive care units.
The county also reported 452 people were released from isolation Monday, raising that total to 38,922. There are 2,048 net active cases as of Monday morning.
Hidalgo County has administered a total of 247,974 COVID-19 tests, and 204,339 of those tests have been negative.
Cameron County reported six COVID-19 related deaths and 296 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
The six deaths include a man and a woman in their 60s from Brownsville, a woman in her 90s and a man in his 70s from Harlingen, a man in his 70s from Los Fresnos and a man in his 70s from San Benito.
The county’s death toll is 1,121 as of Monday.
According to a news release, the county was closed in observance of Thanksgiving. As a result, Monday’s numbers include the new cases from Nov. 26 through Nov. 30.
Brownsville continues to produce large numbers of COVID-19 cases with 158, more than half of the new cases reported Monday. Harlingen had the second highest number with 55, followed by San Benito with 28 and Los Fresnos with 19.
These numbers raise the county’s total to 26,151. Additionally, the county reported that 75 people recovered from the virus, raising that total to 23,333.
Starr County reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
There are currently 294 active cases of the virus there, and 3,887 people have recovered.
The death toll in the county is 190.
Willacy County confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. In a news release, the county said that there are three COVID-19 cases that are no longer considered active cases.
The county has 1,331 total COVId-19 cases.
