Mission police said in a news release Wednesday that a fetus was found by a tenant in a local apartment complex earlier this week.
According to law enforcement authorities, the tenant who has not been identified was “having issues with backflow of the water” Monday and then discovered the fetus next to the drainage pipe.
The tenant contacted police who then responded to the apartment, which is located in the 400 block of San Antonio Avenue at around 2:55 p.m. Monday.
Police said the case remains under investigation pending an autopsy.
