The Brownsville Independent School District on Wednesday received vouchers for 150 COVID-19 vaccinations to be administered Friday in Los Fresnos.
District officials said County Commissioner Joey Lopez dropped off the vouchers Wednesday for Moderna vaccines to be administered on a first-come, first-served basis Friday at the Los Fresnos Fire Department.
BISD said it has more than 300 employees 65 or older who would qualify for the vouchers and that it was determining who among those had already received the vaccine so that the vouchers could be distributed.
