The Cameron County Democratic Women invite Democrats to join in for a bit of election fun on Saturday for the “In Solidarity-Riding With Biden” car parade.
Decorate your cars, bring the kids and the dogs as they travel through the streets into downtown Brownsville showing support for presidential candidate Joe Biden and his VP candidate Kamala Harris.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Brownsville Parade will start at 2436 Pablo Kisel, which is at the vacant parking lot of the old Kmart store.
All participants are responsible for their own car decorations and safe driving.
There are two parades being held simultaneously for people who could not travel out of their city limits, Brownsville and a Harlingen Parade.
According to the Cameron County Democratic Women organization, Brownsville Police Department will provide escorts for a fluid parade until the parade reaches E. Elizabeth Street, at which time the parade will no longer be fluid and adhere to all traffic lights and driving practices. The parade ends when it reaches International Boulevard.
