“ COVID-19 cases in our County are increasing at a rapid and alarming rate and we ask you to please shelter-in-place and stay at home,” Trevino said.

“ All area hospitals in Cameron County have exceeded capacity and we fear overwhelming hospitalizations if people don’t heed the advice and mandates in place. We all have the responsibility to protect ourselves and others,” Trevino said.

The Public Health Department is working close with elected officials and department heads to continue taking the appropriate steps to keep their employees and the public safe.
