At Rio Grande Regional Hospital (RGRH), we are committed to providing you and your loved ones with comprehensive outpatient healthcare.

To support the medical needs of the women in the Rio Grande Valley, in 1997, RGRH opened its first Women’s Clinic. Today, RGRH has three Women’s Clinics that offer services in obstetrics and gynecology. Each location is staffed with a licensed nurse practitioner and supported by OB board-certified medical directors; McAllen – Dr. Maria Rodriguez de Lima and Juanita Garcia, NP-BC, Alamo – Dr. Rene Luna and Erica Perez, DNP-BC and in Edinburg – Dr. Gholam Kiani and Irma Marriott, NP-BC.

May is recognized as Women’s Health Month, and the team at the Rio Grande Women’s Clinics would like to empower all women to make their health a priority. Because women represent the cornerstone of a family’s overall health, ensuring they have access to quality care also can lead to improved health for children and families.

The medical team at the Rio Grande Women’s Clinics provides complete prenatal care for women, including fetal monitoring and ultrasounds. It is imperative that expecting moms receive appropriate prenatal care to help identify and reduce adverse pregnancies and birth outcomes. Initiating prenatal care early in gestation improves the chances of a healthy pregnancy and a healthy fetus.

Additionally, the Rio Grande Women’s Clinics provide a broad range of outpatient services for women, such as; well-woman exams, STI treatment, and FREE pregnancy tests. Every woman will also have full access to the services offered at Rio Grande Regional Hospital, such as diabetes management, maternal/fetal services, mammograms, and more.

The dedicated team at the Rio Grande Women’s Clinics is proud to provide exceptional one-on-one individualized care to their patients. To schedule your appointment at one of our three convenient locations, please call: McAllen (956-632-6032), Alamo (956-787-0770), and Edinburg (956-380-4477), or visit RioHealth.com.
