The Texas Department of Transportation announces closure at the intersection of Boca Chica Boulevard and McDavitt Blvd in Brownsville.
Texas Cordia Construction, LLC, a TxDOT contractor, will be constructing concrete gutter and pedestrian ramps across McDavitt Boulevard, the state agency said.
Construction will begin on the east section and then move to the west section closing off access to northbound and southbound traffic respectively.
Work will continue this week and is expected to end at 5 p.m. Monday.
Traffic is advised to follow all signage and travel with caution in a work zone.
