Two in custody after double homicide victims found in mobile home off expressway

EDINBURG — Police arrested two people Saturday after officers discovered two bodies in a mobile home off the expressway.

Officers initially responded to a welfare concern call at an RV park in the 8200 block of North Expressay 281 shortly before noon, according to Assistant Police Chief Orlando Garcia. Upon arrival, officers found two decomposed bodies in a mobile home, individuals police determined were homicide victims.

The two suspects — whose identities have yet to be released — will be arraigned Monday in the Edinburg Municipal Court on capital murder charges.

The identity of the victims has yet to be determined due to the advanced state of decomposition.
