Avoiding second mistrial, jurors find Weslaco man guilty in 2018 murder

A jury on Friday found a 31-year-old Weslaco man guilty of killing his ex-lover’s little brother six years ago. The verdict came after approximately nine hours of jury deliberations over two days, resulting in Victor Lee Alfaro’s guilty conviction. Jurors found that Alfaro shot and killed 21-year-old Reynaldo Reyes Jr. on May 4, 2016.
