The City of Harlingen and the Harlingen Public Library are partnering with the South Texas Literacy Coalition (STLC) for a special Holiday Drive-Through Book Give-Away.
The drive-thru will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Harlingen Soccer Complex.
The drive-thru event is for families with children ages 0-17. Thanks to a grant from the Molina Foundation, every child will receive a bag with four to five books selected for his or her age group.
The families will also receive craft kits, coloring books, and information about the local organizations that support families.
Due to COVID-19 and state and local mandates, everyone will have to remain in their vehicles, and masks are required.
The Harlingen Soccer Complex is located at 4515 E. Harrison Avenue.
