P.I. man claims lottery winnings

PORT ISABEL — A Port Isabel man is more than $2 million richer after winning money on a Texas Lottery scratch ticket game.

Lottery officials report Emilio Vasquez Sr. has claimed a $2.5 million top prize in the 100X THE CASH scratch-off game.

The winning ticket was sold at the H-E-B Food Store in Port Isabel, and the store is eligible for a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Officials report Vasquez claimed the first of four top prizes worth $2.5 million. 100X THE CASH offers more than $136.4 million in total prizes.
