Boil water notice still needed

LOS INDIOS — A boil water notice issued Friday morning is still in effect.

The Military Highway Water Supply Corporation has extended its boil water notice until further notice to many of its customers.

The company says a waterline break near FM 675, east of FM 2520, is affecting customers in Bluetown, Los Indios and South Rangerville.

The water pressure went below 20 psi.

The company is asking customers to boil their water for two minutes before using it.

Customers won’t see a disruption of their water system pressure. It is currently operating at normal conditions.

Yesterday, required samples were collected and will be sent to a state laboratory for analysis.

In lieu of boiling, customers may purchase bottled water from another suitable source.
