Cold front to usher in 2021

A cold front will usher in the 2021 New Year.

The National Weather Service in Brownsville reports a cold front will make its way through the Rio Grande Valley late Wednesday night bringing cooler temperatures for New Year’s Eve.

There’s a 70 percent chance of showers late Wednesday evening with the overnight lows about 50 degrees.

The high’s on Thursday will be between 53 to 62 degrees with the temperatures on New Year’s Eve dropping to anywhere from 36 to 45 degrees.

The temperatures on New Year’s Day will range between 68 to 75 degrees.
