Armed robbery reported in Primera

PRIMERA — The Primera Police Department is searching for robbery suspect.

According to a police press release, at approximately 11:30 a.m. Tuesday Primera police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Primera Road in reference to an armed robbery.

The press release stated that according to a witness, a Hispanic man entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money.

Once the suspect realized there were several costumers in the store, the suspect fled the area on foot. Officers searched the area but were not able to locate him. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, according to the press release. The department is asking anyone who has any information regarding the identity of the suspect to call Primera Crime stoppers at 956-536-0776.
