District receives incentive check from AEP Texas

AEP Texas representatives presented a $280,435.69 incentive (rebate) check to San Benito CISD for the district’s installation of qualifying LED lighting technologies – specifically, the energy efficient lighting retrofits at San Benito High School, San Benito Veterans Memorial Academy, Berta Cabaza Middle School, Riverside Middle School, and the Facilities & Operations Complex (UTEX Building).

The AEP Texas Commercial Standard Offer Program offers incentives to non-residential customers registered in the program and who install eligible energy efficiency

measures in non-residential facilities located within the AEP Texas service territory.
