San Benito breaks ground for indoor multipurpose facility

By SBCISD Staff

On Nov. 6, 2018, San Benito voters approved a $40 million bond proposal that would allow San Benito CISD to build a stateof- the-art performing arts center, an aquatics center, and an indoor multipurpose facility.

Last week, the San Benito community came together for the monumental groundbreaking ceremony for the first of three major building projects — the indoor multipurpose facility.

State Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr., (D-Brownsville), former NFL and University of Texas Longhorn Quarterback Vince Young, and City of San Benito officials were among the special guests.

District administrators and trustees thank the San Benito community for embracing the district’s visions, goals, and plans to provide the best learning environment and resources for their students.
