Raising funds for Family Crisis Center

HARLINGEN — Magic Valley Riders Inc. motorcycle club will hold its annual major fundraiser to benefit the Family Crisis Center.

The weekend event has several different activities, but the main will be Saturday night’s concert at 8:30 p.m. featuring international Tejano recording and film star Bobby Pulido will perform. Pulido’s roots are in the Rio Grande Valley.

He started his career in Edinburg, has performed internationally to many sold-out audiences filling venues in Mexico where he is a huge fan favorite.

“We are fortunate to have him headlining our benefit event,” said Magic Valley Riders president David Wise.

Marlissa Vela will open for Bobby. She will be performing a special tribute to her father, the legendary, awarding winning, late Tejano superstar Ruben Vela.

But, that’s not all. Friday night at 5 p.m., there will be a free Biker Nite Hangout with live music, food and merchandise, vendors and giveaways.

Saturday during the day, starting at 3 p.m., free activities are outdoor music, biker field events, food and merchandise.

Magic Valley Riders have a long, successful history, nearly 20 years, holding motorcycle related events to raise funds for the needy in the community.

Among the nonprofit organizations the club has helped include Rio Grande State Center volunteer’s service council, Monica and Maggie’s House, Loaves and Fishes, Teach the Children, Stars, and many individual local families who have suffered catastrophic situations.
