HARLINGEN — Southwest Airlines today announced a slew of new seasonal flights including a nonstop Dallas to Harlingen flight for Spring Break.
Beginning March 10, the carrier will begin weekly Sunday service between Dallas and Valley International Airport in Harlingen.
The airport has a popular shuttle service to and from South Padre Island.
The airline also revealed a number of new international flights from U.S. gateways which can be found at its website, www.southwest.com.

The south end of Valley International Airport’s longest runway at 8,301 feet, 17R/35L, is undergoing modification to reduce the turn angle for pilot’s entering from the taxiway. The yellow lead line shows the route pilots used to take to transit from taxiway to main runway. The modification will in effect add 500 usable feet for takeoffs and landings.
