Not party over principle

When you dine at your favorite restaurant, do you order what you like or do you let the kitchen crew decide?

When you go to the theater, do you pick the movie or do you let the “pickle ‘n popcorn” guy pick one for you?

When you buy a new car, do you pick the one that suits you or do you let “Horale Charlie” decide?

So why in the world would you vote “straight ticket” and allow the parties to pick your candidate for you?

Are you like that herd of sheep just following the wagging tail ahead of you or are you brave enough to stray from the world of “party mentality” or “group thinking?”

George Washington warned us about the dangers of “party over principle.”

He must be rolling in his grave.
