Police ID Quick Run robbery suspect

HARLINGEN — Police have identified the man they say robbed the Quick Run convenience store on North Commerce Street Saturday night.

Miguel Angel Flores, 34, currently has two active warrants out for his arrest in connection to this recent crime and another burglary at the 1100 block of E. Jackson that same day.

Saturday night police were called to the 2000 block of North Commerce Street where a clerk told them a Hispanic man approximately 5-feet 10-inches tall, wearing a black shirt, black pants, and arm sleeves (possibly to cover his tattoos) entered the business through the west side vehicle entrance.

She said the man, later identified as Flores, walked into the employee area and asked her for rolling papers.

Police say Flores attacked the woman and demanded money. They say he held her by the neck and forced her to open the cash register all the while threatening her with a knife.

The man took the cash and ran. The clerk was unharmed.

If you know where police can find Miguel Angel Flores call Crime Stoppers at (956) 425-TIPS (8477).
