The winners of the Colors of Spring art contest were announced last week.
The show, which involved adults and students, was a popular one and held at the Harlingen Arts Forum on Jackson Street in downtown Harlingen.
Adult winners are in the photo on the right, from left, Kathy Rinearson of Rancho Viejo, honorable mention; Kathy Alviso of Harlingen, first; and Allison Thompson of San Benito, third. Student winners were Benjamin Moreno (blue ribbon) and Marco Nieto (red ribbon) from Raymondville.
hompson is the teacher of both the students who won. Moreno took first with Nieto finishing second.
