The State Farm Arena, formerly the Dodge Arena, has been renamed to State Farm Hidalgo Arena as of Thursday.
The name change comes with a new website domain as well. The former domain, www.statefarmarena.com, now belongs to the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, the new home of the Atlanta Hawks, which opens in October.
“We incorporated the name of Hidalgo to our brand’s name to incorporate our commitment to being a staple in the community of the city of Hidalgo and the Rio Grande Valley,” said Eric Treviño, general manager for State Farm Hidalgo Arena.
The multi-purpose complex has been open for 15 years. Treviño said the venue has several acts in store for the rest of this year, such as Chayanne, Camila y Sin Bandera, Fiestas Patrias 2018 and the Clasico Regio de Leyendas.
