A group of national and local environmental organizations on Monday filed suit against the Federal Aviation Administration for allegedly “failing to fully analyze and mitigate the environmental harms resulting from the SpaceX Starship/Super Heavy launch program at Boca Chica.”

SpaceX appears to have seriously miscalculated how well its orbital launch pad would hold up during the inaugural launch of its Starship-Super Heavy from Boca Chica/Starbase on April 20.

At the site of the SpaceX Starship launch at Boca Chica Beach on Thursday morning, hundreds of people hoping to catch a glimpse of the launch watched from Texas State Highway 48.
